Rose Quartz is generally found in two regions of Madagascar, Ambatondrazaka and Antsirabe, the latter being considered the best deposit in the country. The regional material always has lovely colour intensity and gemmy clarity but this is variable depending on the grade. We select the top 20% of all material which ranges from a lighter pink with a girasol-like glow to a much darker shade of pink.
Rose Quartz is widely believed to be the foremost stone for the heart chakra, guiding one to understand the power of true love. It assists in cleansing and opening the heart on all levels, thus promoting profound internal healing & self-love. Rose Quartz is also known for its calming & reassuring energy, which makes it useful during difficult periods or times of crisis. Additionally, it intensifies one's capacity for empathy and is thought to draw loving energy into one's life. For this reason, it is recommended to place Rose Quartz in the relationship corner of a bedroom or home (far right corner). If this creates too strong of a pull, Amethyst can be used to restore trust & harmony. Rose Quartz gradually dissipates negative energy and replaces it with loving vibrations.
